This is Todd at A Different Drum.  I just wanted to send out a quick reminder that the sweet discounts will end after today / tonight if you have some CD’s you’ve been putting off buying for a few weeks or months

Also, if you plan on ordering anything for the holidays to be given as a gift, it is best to start ordering right away.  The postal system tends to slow down the further we get through December.  Plus, it sometimes takes me longer to ship orders when a lot come in at once.  So, play it safe and order your bouncy synthpop gifts early.

A DIFFERENT DRUM’s VIP Subscriber Program:

Just as a quick update for those of you who are curious about the progress of the VIP Subscriber program started by A Different Drum’s label a few months ago…

So far, these CD’s have been shipped to monthly subscribers who pay $10 (USA) or $12 (international) per month for a unique, limited edition VIP CD release.   These CD’s are typically albums which are only available digitally at the time.  This is the way the collectors can get their hands on a physical CD edition.

In November we shipped:  Neuropa “Plastique People”
In October we shipped:  Disreflect “Some Brittle Words”
In September we shipped: Christopher Anton “Destination: X”

Subscribers have paid for the December release already and will receive Haberdashery “2010 Remixes” plus a bonus release in mid December.

I am still storing emails of anybody else who is interested in subscribing to the VIP program for future releases.  If a VIP member drops out of the current pool, then I go to the next person in line to join.  The current pool is 200 copies (plus the band gets 100 copies to sell at shows, etc.).   If the line gets long enough, then we will consider increasing the number of copies manufactured and add more members…but that is ONLY if we have enough subscribers to guarantee that all CD’s are claimed (we want it to remain very exclusive).
